Versatility

Welcome to STYLEARTIST and once again thank you for signing up to be a part of our community. We are super pumped about our upcoming launch in August and continue to be extremely busy getting ready for the big day. Over the past couple of months we have been travelling to trade shows and visiting suppliers as we curate a perfectly stylish fall wardrobe for you. We are finding wonderful pieces that we are dying to wear ourselves. As I share some of my personal favs below, you will notice that all of them have one thing in common- versatility. I always search for the most versatile items because- who are we kidding, we all live a life where we play multiple roles- girlfriend, mom, wife, business woman, daughter, mentor, sister, executive, aunt….and the list goes on. Today’s ideal wardrobe must consist of an outfit that can accommodate a school drop off, a business lunch, a meet the teacher interview and a dinner out all on the same day. Because that is how we roll!

Pick #1: Spanx structured moto leggings

The coolest looking moto leggings PLUS the slim built in! Did you even know that Spanx makes apparel and not just under garments? I personally have tried these and they are also super comfortable!!! Can’t wait. On my top 10 list for sure.

Pick #2: 100% cashmere blanket wrap

This piece is a must for every wardrobe. Whether it’s worn as a beautiful wrap- over your coat; or a scarf over a t-shirt, or a blanket when you snuggle on the couch with a hot tea, happy that you made it through another day in one piece. It is also the most perfect travel piece. I recently took mine with me on our March break vacation- I left Toronto 0 degrees and snowy to arrive at 30 degree sunny weather- who needs a coat? I used it as a blanket on the plane- and then it was handy some evenings when there’s a chill in the air at an al fresco dinner after a day baking in the sun.

Pick #3: Louise et Cie pearl closure oxfords

First of all these are the coolest shoes. A pair of funky oxfords automatically make any outfit look hip, remember, shoes are the most important part of your look. I am a high heel lover, anyone who knows me will know that about me- but in reality my days are so jam packed with activity - I often leave the house at 6.30am and am not back till eve- I need a shoe that looks amazing at any event, as well as keep me comfortable all day.

Ok, enough about fall- it’s April and spring is in the air (yay finally!). We have my favourite 2 seasons ahead of us and some exciting fashion trends to wear over the next few months. Some of the ones I plan on adopting off the runways are PINK everything, metallic, oversize shirts, trench coats, one shoulder tops, slogan tees and SNEAKERS! Hint….Borrow a shirt from your man and wear it open wide, (off the shoulder) with a lacy crop under it, pair it with skinny cropped jeans and metallic pumps.

Until the next time, promise me you will wear something pink! Catherine
